FRIGHTNIGHT : A HUGE SUCCESS “MADE IN BILLY MURRAY” !

International kickboxing returned to Belfast, Northern Ireland on Sunday 31st October.

Belfast’s ProKick Gym run by head coach and former world Champion Billy Murray was a roaring success and included fighters from North and South of Ireland who faced tough opposition from France and Holland to thrill the capacity crowd at Belfast’s Hilton Hotel for the Halloween themed ‘Fright Night’ event. The event sanctioned by the WKN saw a feast of kickboxers displaying enormous amounts of skill from Full Contact kickboxing rules to K1 style action. The French team led by Mr Sebastien Carbone made sure their Irish opponents knew they were there to fight and put on extraordinary performances, giving the ProKick fighters a very tough night. The Dutch squad led by Mr Tony Haberland also gave the ProKick fighters more than a run for their money as they pushed their opposition to the limits. All in all it was a very successful event and massive thank you’s must go out to the French and Dutch teams who were pleasant and respectful throughout the visit and we would look forward to welcoming them back to the shores of Northern Ireland in the future.
