Just over a week ago, a packed Holiday Inn witnessed Cathy’s McAleer’s victory in a toe-toe war that secured the Belfast Bantamweight a world title shot. Fight-fans also seen Bangor’s Johnny Smith’s destruction of top Japanese fighter Yuhei Tsuda by-way of KO in the 2nd round. Smith, defended his WKN K1-style super-welterweight world title. The Bangor man Smith still on a high for his win and is now moves into the professional ranks of kickboxing, especially after this devastating win.

When asked why he had chosen this as his next step; “It’s a natural progression, I feel as if I’ve came to the tipping point, I want to be pushed and tested. I want to see how far I can go. I want to see what my limit is and then push past it and set new ones.” Said Smith.

Northern Ireland, Belfast, and fight-fan get ready; It’s a KICKmas Cracker packed with a ‘Festive Feast of Fists n Feet’. Belfast’s very own Cathy McAleer will top the bill when she fights for a world crown. Bangor’s Johnny Smith will be on the card as the semi-main event, with another goal in sight – to become a professional world kickboxing champion. And that’s not all, Darren McMullan and Samantha Robb will defend their WKN Pro-Am world titles. The fiery Swiss fighter, Killian Emery will feature alongside two other ProKick rising teenage talents, Dundonald’s Jake McCreedy and Lisburn’s Cameron Dickson.
