The World Kickboxing Network returns to Oceania later this year with the WKN World Cup 2019 held at The Trusts Arena in Auckland, New Zealand from November 28 to November 30. Over the past decade the region has produced a number of notable WKN World Champions in Muay Thai, including “John” Wayne Parr, Nathan “Carnage” Corbett, Toby “The Weapon” Smith.
New Zealand-born, fighting out of the Gold Coast, Australia Nathan Corbett has held WKN World Heavyweight title since 2010 to 2013. “Elbow Master” earned a prestigious belt by knockout in the fourth round against Ukrainian star Pavel Zhuravlev. The pair met in the headliner of Domination Muay Thai 5 held on September 17, 2010 in Perth, WA.
The event was co-headlined by intercontinental bout between local Mitchel Seth and Loris Audoui of Guadeloupe. The contest marked the first time when a kickboxer from Caribbean competed on Australian soil.
Among other bouts featured on the card, Toby “The Weapon” Smith faced Reece McAllister.
